I have attended and served at FCBC since 2010. In 2014 I transitioned from a pastoral intern to full-time ministry. I am currently an Elder there and serve in many other ways including teaching, preaching, counseling, presiding over weddings and funerals, discipleship, and organizing outreach events.

I received my Master of Divinity degree after three and a half years of study at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (GCTS). I had the privilege of studying under many great professors there, including Dr. Douglas Stuart, Dr. Scott Gibson, & Dr. Dennis Hollinger. GCTS is a wonderful seminary that takes the preaching and teaching of the word of God very seriously.

My undergraduate degree is in Health and Human Sciences, which is similar in function and purpose to a pre-medical degree. I began this degree with the hope of becoming a Physician Assistant but felt that God was asking me to leave that career path in order to pursue full-time ministry.

I was a Combat Arms Instructor, a subset of Security Forces while serving in the United States Air Force. Besides teaching combat skills and weapons skills and tactics, I also performed law enforcement duties. In order to sharpen my understanding of the law I pursued and received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force.

Exegetical Preaching
Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them by the truth. Your Word is truth." Preaching the plain, God-given meaning of the scriptures is an important part of shepherding God's people. I am dedicated to studying, knowing, and teaching the scriptures so that God's people can grow in Christlikeness.
Christian Education
I have lead small groups, Sundays Schools classes, and AWANA Bible club classes. I sometimes use a purchased curriculum, but most often create my own materials. The PDF below is part one of a three-part 12- week series I developed and taught about spiritual warfare.
Counseling
I have experience in pastoral counseling for a variety of situations. I am also a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator, and use these assessments to help couples gain a deeper understanding of dynamics, personality, stress and strength and growth areas.

Missions
My family and I are Mission Candidates to Spain with SEND international. We are in our first year of partnership development and have gathered about one-third of our ongoing support.
